Staff ERP Application Engineer – Netsuite Financials

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and oversee intricate NetSuite engineering projects, creating top-tier architectural designs while actively engaging in SuiteScript development and crafting custom solutions.

• Design, tailor, and enhance NetSuite modules in alignment with complex global business needs, focusing particularly on Fixed Asset Management (FAM), Landed Cost (LC), General Ledger (GL), Intercompany Management, and Payables.

• Architect, construct, and sustain high-performance integrations and automated data pipelines between NetSuite and our procurement ecosystem, primarily Coupa.

• Enhance accounting and supply chain processes by utilizing SuiteFlow (Workflows) and SuiteScript (2.0/2.1) to promote enterprise-wide automation and efficiency.

• Ensure platform security and audit readiness by developing and implementing appropriate role-based access controls (RBAC), data security policies, and SOX compliance measures.

• Collaborate with Enterprise Product Managers, Data Platforms, Sourcing, and corporate business teams to convert financial and supply chain requirements into reliable technical solutions.

• Establish and uphold stringent coding and technical design standards, conducting peer code reviews to guarantee platform performance, maintainability, and scalability.

• Offer technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers within the ERP engineering team.

• Keep abreast of NetSuite's bi-annual releases, assessing new features, managing impact analyses, and proactively suggesting optimizations to minimize manual tasks.

• Possess hands-on experience in developing and refining NetSuite-SDF and GitHub-based CI/CD pipelines for version-controlled customization, automated deployment, and disciplined change management in enterprise ERP settings.

⛳️ Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in ERP development, including over 7 years of specialized technical expertise in NetSuite development and hands-on SuiteScript architecture.

• Comprehensive end-to-end NetSuite architecture and techno-functional knowledge across Fixed Asset Management (FAM), Landed Cost (LC), General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Cash Management, and Intercompany transactions, with a strong grasp of how procurement and inventory flows influence landed cost allocation, asset capitalization, reconciliation, and downstream GL impact, supporting multi-subsidiary, multi-currency, and global finance operations within NetSuite OneWorld environments.

• Proven experience in customizing and configuring NetSuite Fixed Asset Management (FAM) and complex Landed Cost allocation models to effectively capture the total product lifecycle and the Asset’s GL impact.

• In-depth understanding of custom GL impacts, multi-currency transactions, automated intercompany eliminations, revaluation, translation, and consolidation.

• Demonstrated experience architecting, configuring, and optimizing NetSuite AP processes, including vendor bill management, approval workflows, payment processing, vendor credits, accrual support, period-close readiness, and accurate downstream GL impact.

• Practical experience in architecting and building complex automated workflows linking Coupa to NetSuite for smooth purchase-to-pay processes, supplier synchronization, and automated AP invoicing.

• Familiarity with Transfer Orders (TOs), Item Receipts (IRs), and Item Fulfillments (IFs) and understanding how these inventory transactions affect financial postings, landed cost, intercompany flows, reconciliation, and downstream reporting.

• Mastery of the SuiteCloud customization platform, including SuiteScript (2.0/2.1), SuiteBuilder, SuiteTalk (SOAP/REST APIs), and SuiteBundler.

• Practical knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) languages like Java or Python, along with extensive experience utilizing middleware solutions (e.g., Celigo, Boomi, Workato, or custom APIs).

• Strong proficiency in SQL for custom reporting/analytics, along with expertise in Git-based version control systems and the SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF).

• Solid experience working in compliance-driven environments navigating strict SOX, GDPR, or asset-tracking controls.

• Experience in assessing and implementing AI-driven solutions across ERP and adjacent business systems to enhance financial operations, procurement workflows, support triage, reporting insights, and engineering efficiency, while paying close attention to SOX compliance, security, and data integrity.
