Staff ERP Application Engineer – Netsuite Financials

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee and direct intricate NetSuite engineering initiatives.

• Create architectural designs while coding in SuiteScript and developing tailored solutions.

• Design, modify, and enhance NetSuite modules with an emphasis on international business needs.

• Construct, develop, and sustain reliable integrations and automated data flows between NetSuite and Coupa.

• Optimize accounting and supply chain processes using SuiteFlow and SuiteScript.

• Maintain platform security and ensure audit compliance by implementing role-based access controls, data security protocols, and SOX compliance measures.

• Collaborate with Enterprise Product Managers and corporate business units.

• Set and uphold coding and technical design standards, performing peer code evaluations.

• Offer technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers.

• Keep abreast of NetSuite's bi-annual updates, managing impact assessments and suggesting improvements.

• Practical experience in developing and enhancing NetSuite-SDF and GitHub-based CI/CD pipelines for version-controlled customizations and automated deployments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in ERP development.

• More than 7 years of specialized technical experience in NetSuite development and SuiteScript architecture.

• Extensive end-to-end expertise in NetSuite architecture and techno-functional areas, including Fixed Asset Management (FAM), Landed Cost (LC), General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Cash Management, and Intercompany transactions.

• Strong comprehension of how procurement and inventory processes influence landed cost distribution, asset capitalization, reconciliation, and the resulting GL implications, supporting multi-subsidiary, multi-currency, and global finance operations within NetSuite OneWorld environments.

• Demonstrated experience in customizing and configuring NetSuite Fixed Asset Management (FAM) and intricate Landed Cost allocation models.

• Profound understanding of custom GL implications, multi-currency transactions, and automated intercompany eliminations.

• Proven track record in architecting, configuring, and refining NetSuite AP processes.

• Practical experience in designing and constructing complex, automated workflows linking Coupa to NetSuite.

• Familiarity with Transfer Orders (TOs), Item Receipts (IRs), and Item Fulfillments (IFs).

• Expert-level skills with the SuiteCloud customization platform.

• Hands-on experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) languages such as Java or Python.

• Strong knowledge of SQL for custom reporting and analytics.

• Solid background in compliance-focused environments, adept at navigating strict SOX, GDPR, or asset-tracking regulations.

• Experience in evaluating and implementing AI-driven solutions within ERP and related business systems to enhance financial operations.

• Familiarity with broader enterprise SaaS applications.

• Experience working within Agile methodologies and DevOps practices in an ERP context.

• Proficient in modern web formats and protocols, including JavaScript, Node.js, XML, and JSON.

• Highly skilled in standard SDLC and enterprise change-management protocols.

• Certification: Oracle NetSuite Certified ERP Consultant & SuiteCloud Developer preferred; SuiteFoundation or NetSuite Administrator certification is a plus.
