Staff Engineer, Oracle EBS Techno-Functional – Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Serve as a pivotal Oracle EBS Techno-Functional Finance Consultant, connecting business needs with technical solutions.

• Offer primary support for Oracle EBS Financials, encompassing incident management, enhancements, production assistance, and period-close tasks.

• Collaborate with finance teams, business users, and stakeholders to collect requirements, execute fit-gap analysis, and propose solutions.

• Facilitate requirements-gathering workshops and create AIM/OUM functional and technical documentation.

• Assist in Month-End/Year-End Close processes, Bank Integrations, Account Reconciliation, Subledger Accounting, and financial reporting.

• Lead and engage in CRP, UAT, system testing, and end-user training initiatives.

• Design, develop, customize, and maintain RICEW components.

• Create intricate Oracle SQL and PL/SQL database solutions.

• Develop and sustain BI Publisher/XML Publisher and Oracle Reports templates.

• Architect, develop, and support Oracle EBS integrations with external applications.

• Conduct SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning activities.

• Diagnose functional and technical issues, implementing corrective measures.

• Deliver enhancements in accordance with Oracle EBS standards and best practices.

• Manage technical tasks utilizing FNDLOAD, SQL*Loader, and Unix/Linux shell scripting.

• Engage in upgrades, patches, deployments, integrations, and production support.

• Maintain documentation pertaining to functional, technical, testing, deployment, and support activities.

• Collaborate with stakeholders and teams globally.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, system optimization, and enhancements to user experience.

• Provide both technical and functional guidance while contributing to knowledge sharing.

• Ensure high-quality delivery, client satisfaction, effective communication, and ownership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of overall experience.

• At least 5 years of pertinent Oracle EBS experience.

• Strong background in Oracle EBS Financials with techno-functional proficiency.

• Practical experience with Oracle E-Business Suite R12 / R12.2.x.

• Solid functional knowledge of GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, and SLA.

• Comprehension of financial business processes, accounting principles, trial balance reconciliation, subledger reconciliation, period close, and financial reporting.

• Capability to convert functional requirements into scalable technical solutions.

• Experience with RICEW components.

• Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, database objects, and Oracle database performance tuning.

• Familiarity with Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, BI/XML Publisher, and Oracle Workflow Builder.

• Understanding of OAF and the technical architecture of Oracle EBS.

• Experience in developing PL/SQL Packages, Procedures, Functions, Triggers, and Views.

• Proficient in creating reports and document templates using BI Publisher/XML Publisher and Oracle Reports.

• Experience with inbound and outbound integrations utilizing Oracle APIs, Web Services, interface tables, and other integration methods.

• Knowledge of FNDLOAD, SQL*Loader, and Unix/Linux shell scripting.

• Experience in supporting Month-End/Year-End Close, Bank Integrations, Account Reconciliation, and period-close activities.

• Experience collaborating with business users and finance teams, including requirements gathering and fit-gap analysis.

• Familiarity with technical/functional documentation and AIM/OUM methodologies, including BR100, MD050, MD070, and TE040.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, root-cause analysis, written, and verbal communication skills.

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
