Staff Engineer, Mechanical Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and engineering of sophisticated mechanical products from initial concept to final production.

• Work collaboratively with internal teams as well as external suppliers and vendors.

• Lead complex projects and make essential engineering decisions.

• Maintain clear and professional communication through email, text, and Microsoft Teams.

• Organize, manage, and execute projects in accordance with established timelines and deliverables.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent 4-year undergraduate program.

• Over 15 years of experience in designing and engineering mechanical products in both corporate and consulting settings.

• Proven technical skills and practical experience in designing injection-molded, sheet metal, cast, and 3D-printed components.

• Strong independent project management capabilities.

• Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks for part and assembly design, as well as 2D drawing creation (GD&T).

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
