Solution Design Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Assist in the formulation of proposals for new business prospects, extensions of existing customer contracts, and the re-engineering of operations for current clients.

• Deliver engineering support for proposals, renewals, and re-engineering initiatives to facilitate CEVA's Business Growth and Retention goals.

• Continuously enhance engineering skills to design efficient distribution center operations.

• Collaborate with Business Development teams and Program Managers to effectively schedule, prepare, and submit proposals and/or renewals in a timely manner.

• Integrate sustainable practices into CEVA proposals when relevant.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or a closely related field.

• At least 2 years of experience in Logistics & Distribution, focusing on the design, implementation, or launch of new facilities and solutions.

• Experience in 3PL or similar environments is preferred.

• Familiarity with E-commerce and Omni-channel fulfillment.

• Six Sigma and Lean certifications are advantageous.

• Background in engineering Distribution Centers.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, data analysis, process mapping tools, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Understanding of WMS functionality.

• Experience with warehouse automation applications is a plus.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Capability to analyze complex issues and devise suitable solutions.

• Willingness to travel domestically 10-15% of the time.
