Lead PLC Design Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Provide technical direction and oversight for the design and execution of PLC-based control systems.

• Lead the design and creation of control systems, including the layout of control panels.

• Develop comprehensive PLC I/O architectures and prepare construction documentation.

• Collaborate with Project Managers, engineers, programmers, and field teams.

• Conduct QA/QC reviews of drawings and as-built documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Advanced expertise in AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical.

• In-depth understanding of PLC-based control systems.

• Strong familiarity with relevant codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, UL 508A).

• Proven experience in leadership, mentoring, or supervisory roles.

• Over 7 years of experience in controls design, electrical design, or industrial automation.

• Experience with Rockwell Automation / Allen-Bradley platforms (ControlLogix, CompactLogix).

• Knowledge of Revit, Bluebeam, or other design/documentation software.
