Staff Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary technical authority for the squad and the wider engineering team, ensuring adherence to best practices in architecture, performance optimization, and accessibility standards.

• Direct the design and architectural conversations for systems, making crucial decisions regarding frameworks, state management patterns, component architecture, and design systems.

• Champion and guarantee the delivery of high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code. Conduct regular code reviews and mentor team members.

• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to grasp requirements, provide technical insights, and ensure timely feature delivery.

• Contribute to the engineering department's strategy and vision, presenting innovative ideas to enhance our customer-facing experiences.

• Tackle intricate technical challenges, innovate solutions, and refine existing systems for scalability and performance.

• Mentor and nurture team members, aiding their growth in technical roles and careers.

• Utilize AI-native tools and methodologies to enhance development speed, product capabilities, and engineering effectiveness throughout the software lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 10 years of software engineering experience, with a proven history of building and evolving complex, high-scale systems and customer-facing applications.

• Strong full-stack expertise, including proficiency in:

• Frontend: JavaScript, TypeScript

• Backend: Javascript, Java, Golang

• Proven experience mentoring senior-level engineers on a regular basis, leading to measurable results.

• Significant experience in AWS-based cloud architecture environments.

• Comprehensive knowledge of modern software engineering practices, design patterns, and architectures.

• Familiarity with AI-native tools that improve productivity and speed (Cursor, Make.com, Supabase, Netlify, Claude Code, n8n, Firecrawl, ChatGPT, Grok, Bolt, Vercel, etc).

• Ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience in designing high-traffic web applications and scalable distributed services.

• Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

• A proactive owner willing to engage hands-on; this role includes coding and reviewing others’ code.

• Capability to implement customer-facing solutions that effectively address the customers' genuine needs with outstanding user experiences.
