This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Define and enhance product engineering practices, tooling, and shared application architecture patterns.

• Lead technical discovery, prototyping, and ensure architectural alignment across teams contributing to our new platform.

• Offer hands-on assistance to remove obstacles for teams, enhance implementation quality, and address cross-team technical challenges.

• Collaborate with engineering managers and product leads to refine delivery processes, team responsibilities, and ownership boundaries.

• Serve as a mentor and technical coach for engineers throughout the organization.

• Contribute to long-term architectural decisions that prioritize modularity, resilience, and operability.

• Facilitate constructive architectural discussions, consensus-building, and design governance.

• Navigate uncertainties and assist in co-creating the organization’s path towards consolidated, high-quality delivery.


⛳️ Requirements

• Technical depth and breadth: Robust expertise in constructing, scaling, and advancing modern web applications—preferably across both front-end and back-end domains (e.g. React, Golang, cloud-native platforms).

• System design & problem-solving: Proven ability to design and evolve architecture in complex, real-world systems.

• Influence & collaboration: Builds trust among teams, facilitates alignment, and aids teams in progressing without requiring formal authority.

• Delivery orientation: Understands the balance between engineering design and delivery constraints alongside business priorities.

• Organizational thinking: Develops engineering patterns that can scale across teams and time—familiar with enabling or platform team models.

• Nice to have: Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architecture.

• Familiarity with modern CI/CD, observability, and quality automation practices.

• Exposure to legacy system modernization, refactoring, or product migration strategies.

• Awareness of Team Topologies, Domain-Driven Design, or similar models for structuring software and teams.
