📋 Description

• Identify reusable components from customer projects and distill them into frameworks, libraries, integration patterns, and reference implementations.

• Collaborate with product, delivery, and commercial leadership to develop clearly defined, scoped, and priceable repeatable offerings.

• Oversee the reference architecture and engineering methodologies for agentic ERP solutions, encompassing integration/tool contracts, identity and permission propagation, data boundaries, human-in-the-loop design, evaluation, observability, and multi-cloud deployment.

• Establish the technical strategy for agentic solutions built on Oracle E-Business Suite and SAP; create reference implementations and provide guidance to integration engineers.

• Design and prototype agentic solutions, validate them against customer challenges, and transition successful solutions into production-grade components.

• Set clear, testable standards for production readiness applicable to platform and delivery tasks.

• Maintain engineering standards and oversee the software development lifecycle across engineering centers.

• Gradually assume responsibility for platform architecture, multi-cloud portability, internal engineering environments/build tooling, and technical arbitration.

• Mentor, review, and collaborate with engineers in India, Malaysia, and Brazil.

• Report to the VP of Platform Engineering and work closely with the GVP of Innovation Solution Delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in building and operating production software, including several years of overseeing technical direction beyond personal delivery; the employer welcomes candidates with varying years and titles as long as demonstrated scope is evident.

• Extensive hands-on ERP technical expertise in Oracle E-Business Suite or SAP, with systems actively utilized by customers.

• Proficient in ERP integration and extension technologies: Oracle PL/SQL, Integrated SOA Gateway, REST, Oracle Application Framework, and workflow; or SAP ABAP, BAPI/RFC, IDoc, and OData.

• Experience in a domain driven by legislative or regulatory requirements, such as finance and statutory reporting, payroll and superannuation, taxation, privacy and data protection, or e-invoicing.

• Practical experience in designing and constructing agentic or LLM-based solutions, including agents capable of tool/function calling, tool contracts, retrieval, evaluation, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop control; at least one has been implemented in real-world applications.

• Proven ability to convert customized work into reusable assets embraced by teams beyond the initial project.

• History of establishing engineering standards adopted by teams that the candidate did not directly manage.

• Experience in halting a release due to quality or risk considerations.

• Ability to lead technical direction without direct authority and work independently.

• Current hands-on engineering skills.

• In-depth knowledge of agentic system architecture, ERP integration, identity and permissions management, software development lifecycle, release engineering, CI/CD, test strategy, AWS/Azure/GCP, software supply chain, and engineering documentation.

• No specific programming language, framework, or cloud environment is mandated beyond the stated ERP depth.

• Preferred: significant experience with Oracle E-Business Suite; technical depth in both Oracle and SAP; familiarity with PeopleSoft or JD Edwards; background in product engineering and services/delivery; establishing engineering discipline; and experience working across multiple regions and time zones.
