
Staff Developer Advocate – Enterprise, APJ

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.
• Travel to enterprise customer locations throughout the APJ region (approximately 50% of the time) to conduct Temporal DevDays.
• Prepare and execute hands-on labs, architectural walkthroughs, and workshop sessions designed to empower enterprise engineering teams to confidently utilize Temporal.
• Collaborate with Solutions Architects, Account Executives, and Customer Success teams to define and prepare for each engagement, ensuring successful outcomes.
• Contribute sample applications, lab exercises, and reusable resources to the shared DevDays content library.
• Conduct train-the-trainer sessions when appropriate.
• Host regular office hours for enterprise engineering teams based in the APJ region.
• Present webinars covering topics relevant to enterprise audiences.
• Work closely with the DevDays program owner, DevRel, and field teams to identify the most pertinent topics and formats for enterprise audiences in the region.
• Represent the company at industry conferences, developer events, and meetups across the APJ region that are significant to the enterprise engineering community.
• Produce technical content, including blog posts, tutorials, architectural guides, diagrams, and videos.
• Collect structured feedback from DevDays sessions, office hours, and enterprise engagements to identify product gaps, developer experience issues, and adoption challenges within the APJ market.
• Act as the regional advocate for enterprise developers, relaying region-specific patterns and needs back to the broader DevRel, Engineering, and Product teams.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience, particularly with a strong emphasis on distributed systems.
• Residing in Singapore, with the legal right to work in the country.
• Proficiency in one or more Temporal SDK languages (Python, Go, Java, TypeScript), along with a robust understanding of distributed systems, state management, and workflow execution concepts.
• Proven ability to lead technical workshops, hands-on labs, or enablement sessions for senior engineering audiences, including the capability to engage effectively with a room full of senior engineers.
• Experience working directly with enterprise engineering teams, along with insight into how large groups adopt and scale developer tools.
• Experience in mentoring others, either formally or informally.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50% within the APJ region, with occasional travel to the United States for company offsites.
