📋 Description

• Work collaboratively with designers on essential real-time collaboration features, including dashboards, maps, timeline visualizations, and briefing workflows—fundamental elements of operational planning in Onebrief.

• Convert mission objectives and user requirements into functional, data-driven interactive prototypes that validate workflows and behaviors prior to development.

• Contribute to the evolution of Onebrief’s design system, ensuring component durability, performance, and accessibility across various sectors. This includes contributions in both Figma and code.

• Expand the system’s tokens, components, and interaction patterns for consistency while maintaining delivery speed.

• Collaborate with engineers to implement design solutions at scale, balancing fidelity, feasibility, and performance.

• Transition swiftly from sketch to prototype to production, utilizing the appropriate fidelity for each phase (Figma or code-adjacent).

• Assess usability through prototypes and tests that confirm solutions before development.

• Utilize AI-powered tools (e.g., Figma Make, V0, Cursor, Lovable, etc.) to expedite prototyping and quickly validate behaviors.

• Ensure that delivered features comply with accessibility, reliability, and performance standards expected by military users.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in guiding ideas from design to prototypes, preferably with tangible user impact and usage data.

• Confident in taking ownership of a problem from initial sketch through specifications to a shipped user interface.

• Proficient in creating data-dense, highly interactive user interfaces while navigating the challenges of low connectivity, strict permissions, and audit requirements.

• Familiarity with APIs and an understanding of data flows.

• Exceptional written communication skills—preferring asynchronous communication. You demonstrate your work through flows, prototypes, and specifications.

• Must be eligible for and able to obtain a U.S. security clearance (U.S. citizenship is required).
