This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Develop forecasting algorithms that underpin our Sales & Operations Planning process.

• Construct reliable, efficient, and scalable models to enhance our AI/ML capabilities.

• Build robust data pipelines to support analyses and models.

• Assess and analyze the impact and effectiveness of models within production systems.

• Lead the science roadmap for forecasting at Veho in collaboration with cross-functional partners.

• Utilize AI-native development workflows and tools (such as Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, etc.) to improve throughput.

• Provide mentorship to other Data Scientists and promote team-wide advancements in our data science practices.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of experience in Data Science, Data Engineering, or a related field; or a Master’s Degree with 5 years of experience; or a PhD with 3 years of experience.

• Profound expertise in various time series forecasting techniques (e.g., ARIMA, Prophet, exponential smoothing, LSTMs, Transformer-based models) along with a solid understanding of their theoretical foundations.

• Proven experience in developing and validating forecasting systems within a supply chain environment, integrating statistical forecasting with human insights.

• Demonstrated experience in managing complex, end-to-end machine learning and data science projects from initial concept to production deployment.

• Background in developing both new systems and enhancing existing systems.

• Experience in leading projects in partnership with Operations, Product, and Engineering teams.

• Strong capability to leverage AI for accelerating model iteration and testing.

• Proficient in Python and SQL for developing production applications.

• Familiarity with MLOps and model deployment pipelines.

• Experience in the supply chain domain is a significant advantage.

• Knowledge of combinatorial optimization methods is a plus, though not mandatory.
