Staff Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Investigate extensive and intricate datasets to identify patterns, anomalies, and potential opportunities.

• Create and assess statistical and machine learning models to aid in discovering insights and testing hypotheses.

• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to define questions and convert findings into actionable insights.

• Perform feature exploration and selection to guide subsequent AI and analytics projects.

• Design experiments and analyses to verify assumptions and evaluate impact.

• Develop prototypes and proofs of concept that showcase the potential benefits of new models or methodologies.

• Clearly communicate results through narratives, visualizations, and written recommendations.

• Keep abreast of developments in data science, statistics, and applied machine learning.

• Work alongside Data Engineering and AI Engineering teams to transition validated concepts into production-ready solutions.

• Mentor fellow data scientists and analysts, enhancing the analytical rigor throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in data science, applied research, or advanced analytics positions.

• Strong grounding in statistics, probability, and experimental design.

• Experience in designing and assessing machine learning models for classification, regression, clustering, or forecasting.

• Proficient in Python and popular data science libraries.

• Experienced in handling large datasets in SQL-based and analytical data environments.

• Capable of reasoning about data quality, bias, and limitations.
