This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, construct, and take ownership of near real-time data pipelines utilizing CDC, streaming ingestion, and event-driven architectures.
• Assess, implement, and sustain vector database infrastructure and embedding pipelines for semantic search, retrieval-augmented generation, and AI agents.
• Create and develop ELT/ETL pipelines that ingest data from platform, financial, CRM, and HRIS systems.
• Architect the warehouse/lakehouse as a foundational system of record.
• Develop lightweight transformation layers such as dbt for business-ready datasets and core metrics, including ARR, CAC, and churn.
• Ensure pipeline reliability and observability through monitoring, automated failure notifications, and lineage tracking.
• Establish the technical groundwork for self-service and AI-driven reporting.
• Collaborate with stakeholders from BI, Product, Engineering, Finance, Marketing, Customer Success, and Operations.
• Enforce data governance practices, documentation standards, and access controls.
• Utilize AI-augmented development workflows to expedite pipeline creation and documentation.
• Over 7 years of hands-on experience in data engineering.
• Significant expertise in streaming and event-driven systems.
• Demonstrated experience designing and constructing near real-time pipelines from the ground up in a production environment.
• Familiarity with Kafka, Kinesis, Flink, Debezium/CDC, or similar technologies.
• Practical production experience with vector databases and embeddings.
• Experience with Zilliz, Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector, Milvus, or similar platforms.
• Advanced skills in SQL and Python.
• Working knowledge of Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks.
• Proficient in dbt.
• Experience in building or significantly contributing to an end-to-end production data environment.
• Familiarity with B2B SaaS and recurring revenue data models.
• Working knowledge of BI/reporting tools like Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Experience with ELT/ETL tools such as Fivetran or Airbyte.
• Understanding of data observability and reliability best practices.
• Proficient with AI-augmented development tools such as Claude or Copilot.
