This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Develop, sustain, and enhance the core performance dashboards for Engine X, focusing on card activation rates, spending volume, gross booking value, rewards utilization, spending category distributions, and cardholder retention.
β’ Monitor and report on critical metrics for Engine X regularly, ensuring that stakeholders from product, finance, and leadership have accurate and timely insights into card performance.
β’ Analyze data anomalies and present your findings clearly; when a metric shifts unexpectedly, you investigate, document your discoveries, and communicate them before they raise questions from others.
β’ Create and maintain intricate SQL queries to extract, cleanse, and aggregate data from Snowflake, including card transaction logs, booking activities, rewards ledger data, and cardholder activation events.
β’ Develop and document reusable data models and reporting resources that the team can depend on β well-organized, appropriately named, and designed to endure beyond the individual who created them.
β’ Assist with A/B testing and product experiments by establishing the analytical framework, accurately pulling results, and presenting findings in a way that supports informed decision-making.
β’ Collaborate with senior analysts and product managers to clarify analytical requests, comprehend the requirements, and deliver precise, comprehensive, and actionable work.
β’ Work alongside analytics engineering and data engineering teams to identify data quality concerns, validate output from data pipelines, and ensure the reliability of the data that powers Engine X reporting.
β’ Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for the metrics and models under your purview, including definitions, logic, known limitations, and refresh schedules, so the team is always informed about the significance of the numbers.
β’ A Bachelor's degree in Data, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related quantitative discipline.
β’ Over 7 years of relevant experience in data analytics or a closely related analytical role, demonstrating the ability to produce clean, accurate, and well-structured analytical outputs.
β’ Proficient SQL skills with experience in writing complex queries β including joins, aggregations, and window functions β on large datasets; practical experience with Snowflake.
β’ Experience in developing and maintaining dashboards or reporting frameworks using HEX, Looker, Tableau, or a similar BI tool.
β’ Strong attention to detail and a robust sense of ownership regarding the accuracy of your work β you verify your numbers, document your reasoning, and identify issues before they escalate.
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable of presenting findings in a structured and easily interpretable format for non-technical stakeholders.
β’ Familiarity with A/B testing and experiment analysis β comfortable with extracting results and applying basic statistical reasoning for accurate interpretation.
β’ A genuine curiosity about the product and the business context surrounding the data β you seek to understand what you are measuring and its significance, not just the mechanics of data retrieval.
β’ Experience in fintech, payments, card products, or financial services analytics is advantageous.
β’ Familiarity with dbt or experience collaborating with analytics engineering teams to understand and utilize data models is a plus.
