This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Design, develop, and maintain intricate SQL queries and data models in Snowflake, with the flexibility to adapt to Databricks, data lakes, and downstream databases as the technology stack evolves.
• Create scalable, reusable datasets that undergo thorough QA, ensuring safe handling of joins, one-to-many relationships, and minimizing duplication risks prior to release.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to guarantee data integrity, availability, and efficient pipeline design.
• Diagnose and resolve data discrepancies across various source systems.
• Utilize extensive knowledge of revenue cycle operations, including physician (PB) and hospital (HB) billing, accounts receivable days, defective/untouched accounts receivable, denial rates, charge lag, collections, and productivity KPIs.
• Develop and maintain physician data models in Epic.
• Oversee the complete development of Power BI dashboards and reports utilized by internal leadership, operational teams, and external clients.
• Establish, standardize, and govern KPI definitions to promote consistency within the organization.
• Perform root-cause assessments on operational performance issues and convert findings into actionable insights.
• Design new reports and analytical products from initial scoping through to delivery.
• Conduct quality assurance on your own work before presenting it to stakeholders.
• Collaborate directly with four business directors and their teams, executive leadership, and client stakeholders.
• Articulate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to non-technical audiences.
• Serve as a trusted advisor for data-driven decision-making across Performance Management.
• Over 8 years of experience in Revenue Cycle Management healthcare analytics.
• Hands-on experience with Epic, ideally with the Clarity data model and physician (PB) billing data.
• Proficient SQL skills in Snowflake, T-SQL, or Microsoft SQL, including joins, stored procedures, and data quality testing.
• Proven track record of building and maintaining Power BI dashboards from end to end.
• Strong working knowledge of Excel, including various functions and data manipulation techniques.
• Demonstrated ability in critical thinking and self-directed problem solving; comfortable leveraging AI/LLMs to enhance work efficiency, while testing and validating outputs.
• At least 2 years of leadership experience, either formal or informal; this role currently has no direct reports but is intended to evolve into people leadership as the service line expands.
