Staff CSIRT Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Serve as the primary escalation contact within the SOC.

• Collaborate with leaders across various functions to identify key work streams.

• Manage the complete incident response lifecycle.

• Guide teams, establish key milestones, and proactively identify potential blockers.

• Lead the identification, triage, and validation of security incidents using diverse telemetry sources.

• Design and implement incident response exercises, including tabletop simulations and purple teaming.

• Work alongside engineering, product security, and detection engineering teams to enhance telemetry and boost detection effectiveness.

• Partner with Offensive Security to pinpoint visibility gaps and ensure comprehensive coverage against contemporary threat actor TTPs.

• Facilitate cross-functional Post-Incident Reviews and oversee subsequent remediation tasks.

• Develop and deliver detailed incident reports and insights gained from experiences.

• Create and maintain playbooks, system configurations, and standards for incident response.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in Incident Response, SOC Operations, or Digital Forensics (DFIR).

• Advanced expertise in EDR/MDR platforms, log aggregation (SIEM/ELK), and cloud security frameworks (AWS/Azure/M365).

• Demonstrated ability to articulate the root causes of complex issues using first principles and translate findings into technical solutions.

• Experience leading small project teams and aligning technological stacks across different functions.

• Exceptional skill in conveying intricate technical incident details to both technical teams and executive leadership.

• Familiarity with automation/SOAR platforms and documentation tools such as Confluence, Jira, and Lucid Chart.

• A proactive and forward-thinking mindset towards security, with a commitment to fostering a culture of inclusivity and actionable security behaviors.
