This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Develop backend logic for event-driven architectures utilizing message queues and pub/sub services, with a robust focus on data processing and file management.
• Efficiently oversee concurrent tasks in distributed environments employing asynchronous programming methodologies.
• Create and execute data processing pipelines that integrate cloud storage, compute, and database services.
• Enhance application performance and scalability through techniques such as caching, asynchronous calls, and minimizing latency.
• Design and create serverless applications and RESTful APIs using frameworks like Flask or FastAPI.
• Adhere to cloud security best practices, encompassing IAM, encryption, and network isolation protocols.
• Implement authentication strategies utilizing OAuth, JWT, or managed identity services.
• A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in Python backend development.
• Strong familiarity with cloud-native or serverless solutions, preferably with AWS.
• Demonstrated expertise in distributed systems concepts, including event-driven architecture, message queues, and scalable data pipelines.
• Practical experience with asynchronous and concurrent programming techniques.
• Excellent testing and debugging capabilities across distributed systems.
• Experience with GenAI tools or LLM-based systems, particularly in RAG or agentic RAG architectures, is advantageous.
• Background in integrating LLM APIs into backend services or workflows.
• Knowledge of vector databases and embedding-based search methodologies.
• A builder mindset; enjoys writing, debugging, and refining production code.
