Staff AI/MLOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Join the Data Platform organization as part of a strategic squad tasked with developing, operating, and scaling Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence capabilities.

• Architect and propose solutions that align with the AWS-first strategy.

• Influence, advocate for, and promote platform capabilities among both technology and business teams.

• Design, build, and enhance MLOps and AI/GenAI infrastructure and platforms utilizing AWS.

• Ensure robustness, high availability, observability, and cost efficiency.

• Lead the transition and expansion of MLOps into an AI Platform, which includes GenAI Ops and governance of generative models.

• Implement automated CI/CD pipelines for ML/AI models.

• Guarantee secure, reproducible, and monitored production deployments.

• Maintain security, compliance, quality, and traceability standards for models and data throughout their entire lifecycle.

• Spearhead architecture discussions and defend technical decisions based on trade-offs.

• Influence stakeholders effectively without relying on formal authority.

• Promote the data platform, identify challenges faced by other teams, and present solutions to enhance the adoption of its tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS architecture and its components.

• Strong background in Machine Learning infrastructure, model deployment, and production operations.

• Experience in building a Feature Store.

• Proven ability to design distributed, scalable, and resilient systems.

• Strong sense of ownership and capability to deliver comprehensive solutions.

• Consistency and composure under change or pressure.

• Aptitude for negotiation, making compelling arguments, and aligning technical decisions with both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Proactive in identifying opportunities to influence other teams and advocate for data products.

• AWS certifications are advantageous, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect and AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty.

• Prior experience in building AI Platform or AI Ops ecosystems is a plus.

• Experience in highly scaled companies, such as FinTechs, large-scale e-commerce firms, or Big Tech, is beneficial.
