Staff AI/ML Scientist, Conversational AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design and evaluate multi-turn, state-aware conversational systems utilizing LLM reasoning loops (such as ReAct, Plan-and-Solve) and multi-agent orchestration frameworks (including LangGraph, AutoGen, or custom state machines).

• Incorporate new frameworks and recent developments in generative and agentic AI.

• Advocate for best practices in AI/ML and provide mentorship to junior team members.

• Lead functional teams and initiatives aimed at accelerating the adoption of Conversational AI.

• Utilize Python, MLflow, Azure stack (Azure cloud, Azure ML, Azure Data Factory), and Databricks to deliver comprehensive AI solutions.

• Construct, benchmark, and sustain AI/ML models.

• Maintain close communication with customers to assess their needs and propose solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and drive business value.

• Keep abreast of technology trends in AI and apply this knowledge to address EcoVadis challenges.

• Deliver solutions for EcoVadis’s product portfolio and improve operational excellence.

⛳️ Requirements

• PhD or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics/Applied Math, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Computational Linguistics).

• Over 8 years of overall experience in machine learning and Natural Language Processing (NLP), with a minimum of 4 years focused on Conversational AI in production settings.

• Advanced expertise in agentic frameworks and a proven history of building autonomous or semi-autonomous agentic systems at scale.

• Experience leading end-to-end AI initiatives in the industry, encompassing design, implementation, and integration, while adhering to best software development practices.

• Strong mentoring abilities and accountability for the timely and high-quality delivery of the initiatives they oversee.

• Experience in cross-functional collaboration for developing AI-powered products (e.g., with Engineers, Product Managers).

• Background in building conversational interfaces across complex enterprise domains (e.g., Supply Chain, Procurement, Financial Risk) is advantageous.

• Proven track record of peer-reviewed publications in top-tier NLP/AI venues (ACL, EMNLP, NeurIPS, AAAI, KDD) is a plus.

• Candidates must be eligible to work and reside in Poland.
