Staff Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Report directly to the Accounting Lead.

• Oversee daily accounting tasks assigned to you.

• Conduct daily bank reconciliations.

• Generate and input journal entries into the accounting software.

• Complete account reconciliations and manage specific ledger accounts across various entities.

• Analyze general ledger transactions and accounts to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.

• Assist with the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.

• Prepare documentation for and aid in financial audits and reviews.

• Help in developing internal processes to enhance financial reporting.

• Maintain organized records.

• Perform additional accounting, financial, and administrative tasks as needed.

• Acquire familiarity and a working understanding of general ledger systems.

• Collaborate with other departments to establish workflows and address issues.

• Support the Accounting Lead and Accounting Manager during the monthly closing process.

• Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses, including projects related to inter-departmental and vendor matters.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of pertinent experience in accounting or financial reporting.

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is preferred.

• Familiarity with GAAP accounting, PCAOB, and SOX standards.

• Proficiency in Excel, including functions such as VLOOKUPs, SUMIF, IF/AND, and pivot tables.

• Experience with Sage Intacct and FloQast.

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
