📋 Description

• Oversee and assess the monthly closing process to guarantee timely, precise, and valid financial data.

• Administer the general ledger and trial balance.

• Prepare and evaluate financial statements, reconciliations, analyses, and relevant supporting documents.

• Facilitate the creation and distribution of invoices.

• Generate and scrutinize journal entries, ensuring they are accurate and comply with accounting standards.

• Analyze and interpret financial data to provide valuable insights and recommendations to management.

• Review and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

• Assist with external audits and tax engagements, ensuring timely and accurate submission of necessary documents.

• Aid in the preparation of multi-state sales tax returns, state income tax filings, and other state reporting obligations.

• Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, process enhancements, and stronger teamwork.

• Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing existing practices and suggesting modifications.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in accounting.

• Familiarity with Sage Intacct (preferred).

• Experience in a private equity-backed environment (preferred).

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and lookups.

• Background in a healthcare or healthcare-related organization (preferred).

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• CPA designation or a strong desire to obtain it is preferred.

• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and double-entry accounting principles.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and organization.

• Capability to cultivate and maintain productive working relationships.

• Ability to clearly communicate accounting issues to relevant staff.

• Skill in identifying opportunities for process improvements.

• Capacity to handle a continuous stream of deadlines.
