This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee collection efforts for accounts receivable, specifically focusing on broker-related receivables within the mortgage sector.

• Conduct monthly reconciliations for designated general ledger and balance sheet accounts.

• Assist in financial reporting and analysis for the wider Finance team, including special reporting requests as needed.

• Maintain regular communication with Sales, Executive leadership, and other stakeholders regarding payments, deals, and financial issues.

• Investigate and rectify accounting discrepancies and payment challenges, ensuring prompt follow-up with both internal teams and external partners.

• Keep accurate and current financial records along with supporting documentation.

• Aid in the development and enhancement of accounting processes to boost efficiency and precision.

• Work in collaboration with department leaders to clarify financial transactions and reporting needs.

• Ensure that accounting practices adhere to financial regulations, internal policies, and industry standards.

• Assist in internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to information requests.

• Engage in the monthly and annual closing process.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience required, ideally in a mortgage or financial services setting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is mandatory.

• Strong grasp of accounting principles, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

• Preferred experience in collections or accounts receivable.

• Strong understanding of mortgage accounting and broker-related receivables is desirable.

• Experience with AMB and Encompass is strongly preferred.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is required.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.

• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and efficiency.

• Ability to juggle multiple priorities, adhere to deadlines, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Self-driven with the capacity to work independently and identify areas for improvement in accounting processes and workflows.
