Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Prepare journal entries, perform analyses, and execute account reconciliations.

• Maintain and enhance month-end closing processes, which include monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

• Ensure adherence to GAAP standards.

• Identify and implement automation, AI-driven tools, and process enhancements to minimize manual tasks, boost accuracy, and expedite month-end closures.

• Respond to requests for information and assist during the annual financial statement audit.

• Analyze financial statements and general ledger accounts for monthly, quarterly, and annual variations, documenting findings accordingly.

• Prepare operational and ad hoc reports for designated financial statement areas.

• Provide assistance to accounting leadership as required.

• Take ownership of assigned financial statement areas, which may include revenue, cost of goods sold, inventory, administrative fees, and others.

• Build strong cross-functional working relationships.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.

• 3–4 years of experience, ideally with a mix of public and private accounting.

• CPA certification is preferred.

• Experience with intricate accounting areas such as revenue recognition, inventory management, stock-based compensation, debt/equity financing, business combinations, or investments.

• Familiarity with automation, AI tools, or advanced technology solutions for accounting processes, reporting, reconciliations, or enhancing closing efficiency is preferred.

• Ability to read and analyze financial statements and reports effectively.

• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and undefined processes.

• Public company exposure is preferred, either through audit or industry experience.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

• Highly organized and detail-oriented.

• Comfortable working in a fully remote environment.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
