Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of critical components of the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, which include invoicing, revenue recognition, accruals, prepaids, and journal entries.

• Prepare and uphold reconciliations for the balance sheet and income statement.

• Oversee the full-cycle accounting for both U.S. and international subsidiaries (UK), including intercompany transactions and reconciliations.

• Handle payroll processing and document payroll-related journal entries and accruals.

• Collaborate with HR on accounting matters related to payroll, benefits, and compensation.

• Assist with annual financial audits and corporate tax submissions, liaising with external auditors and advisors.

• Ensure the accuracy of accounting records and supporting schedules in NetSuite.

• Spot opportunities to enhance accounting processes, controls, and systems.

• Engage in ad hoc accounting and finance projects as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a technology or high-growth setting.

• Previous experience within a Big 4 accounting firm is preferred.

• Extensive experience with month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and payroll accounting.

• Experience with accounting for U.S. and/or international subsidiaries is a plus.

• Strong proficiency in NetSuite is required.

• Knowledge of Expensify, Paylocity, or similar platforms is beneficial.

• Background in supporting audits and tax submissions.

• A solid understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing competing priorities in a dynamic environment.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, with a strong sense of integrity and work ethic.

• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
