SSR Java Developer – On-call Shift

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain Java-based microservices utilizing Spring Boot.

• Design and execute event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka.

• Construct scalable and robust backend services.

• Implement functional programming principles to enhance code quality and maintainability.

• Work with both relational and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MongoDB.

• Engage in software design conversations and contribute to technical decision-making.

• Create and run automated tests adhering to TDD and/or BDD methodologies.

• Collaborate with product, architecture, and development teams in Agile (Scrum) settings.

• Contribute to initiatives aimed at continuous improvement and best development practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in a comparable software development position.

• At least 4 years of practical experience with Apache Kafka (essential).

• Strong proficiency in Java 8 or later.

• Experience in building microservices with Spring Boot.

• Familiarity with functional programming concepts.

• Experience with JPA.

• Knowledge of TDD and/or BDD testing approaches.

• Understanding of software design principles and their application.

• Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, and/or MongoDB.

• Comprehension of Agile methodologies, especially Scrum.

• English proficiency at a B2 level or higher.
