SSO / Identity Management Specialist – Python, FastAPI, Microsoft Entra ID

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Execute SSO integration with Microsoft Entra ID.

• Develop and sustain backend APIs utilizing Python and FastAPI.

• Facilitate authentication and authorization processes employing OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SAML.

• Implement the relying-party aspect of enterprise SSO integrations.

• Collaborate with technical stakeholders to outline, validate, and assess identity flows.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to authentication, tokens, redirects, metadata, certificates, and sessions.

• Partner with backend and platform teams to ensure a secure, scalable, and maintainable implementation.

• Contribute to documentation for configuration, deployment, troubleshooting, and customer onboarding.

• May provide support for SCIM provisioning for managing enterprise customer users.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in Python backend development.

• Profound knowledge of Clean Code, Clean Architecture, Modular Architecture, and Distributed Systems.

• Extensive experience in Python backend development.

• Practical experience with FastAPI.

• Expertise in designing and implementing backend APIs.

• Hands-on experience with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and SAML.

• Experience in implementing SSO integrations, particularly from the relying-party/service-provider perspective.

• Familiarity with identity provider configuration, metadata exchange, redirect flows, token validation, claims mapping, and session management.

• Proficient in troubleshooting SSO issues across application, identity provider, and configuration layers.

• Strong grasp of secure API design and authentication best practices.

• Capability to work independently on a focused implementation project.
