SRE Tech Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the reliability, scalability, and observability of the Scalr platform.

• Actively identify and mitigate risks before they escalate into incidents.

• Design new architectural components.

• Advocate for and implement SRE and DevOps best practices.

• Propel strategic technical enhancements.

• Develop and maintain the SRE roadmap and backlog.

• Manage the end-to-end observability strategy including monitoring, alerting, and dashboards.

• Architect and advance the platform's infrastructure.

• Define and take ownership of customer-centric SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.

• Oversee the infrastructure technology stack.

• Collaborate with other Tech Leads and coordinate engagement with other departments.

• Lead the resolution of technical challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in Python (experience with Python scripting is sufficient).

• Knowledge of Terraform/OpenTofu.

• Strong understanding of Linux (RHEL/Debian, bash scripting).

• Experience with Docker.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes.

• Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform.

• Experience leading SRE teams or initiatives.

• Proficient in monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, New Relic, etc.

• Experience with CI platforms like GitHub Actions, Drone, CircleCI, etc.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Preferred: Experience with GitOps, Argo CD, Flux CD, or similar.

• Knowledge of Chef, Omnibus, Ruby.

• Familiarity with JavaScript for GitHub Actions.
