Sr. Director – Data & AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Lead SHI's AI + Infrastructure division within the Microsoft Services Practice.

• Establish and implement a cohesive operational strategy across Agentic Solutions, Cloud Platform, Data & Intelligence, and AI Security & Governance.

• Convert Microsoft Fabric IQ, Foundry IQ, Azure, and agent investments into SHI service roadmaps and capability plans.

• Define ownership, decision-making rights, delivery standards, and quality expectations.

• Create modular and repeatable offerings for cloud, data, AI, and governance.

• Mentor and develop managers and practice leaders.

• Manage workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, retention, skills enhancement, and capacity alignment.

• Provide technical leadership across Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Foundry, agents, data platforms, identity, security, and governance.

• Champion reference architectures, delivery frameworks, statements of work, templates, and accelerators.

• Supervise intricate multi-workstream projects, ensuring leaders are accountable for delivery quality, staffing, risks, timelines, budgets, and communication.

• Act as an executive sponsor and trusted advisor for key clients.

• Drive revenue growth in AI + Infrastructure services and support strategic initiatives.

• Collaborate with Solution Architecture, Sales, Project Management, Digital Workplace, Managed Services, Microsoft field, engineering, and partner teams.

• Report on portfolio health, performance, risks, and investment requirements to senior leadership, including the Vice President of Microsoft Services.

• Conduct operational meetings that cover pipeline, staffing, project health, financial performance, capability development, and customer outcomes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical, business, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• A minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in technology services, consulting, cloud, data, AI, or related Microsoft practices.

• At least 5 years of experience leading managers, directors, senior technical leaders, or multi-disciplinary delivery teams with accountability for personnel, delivery, and business performance.

• Proven success in building or scaling professional services capabilities, repeatable offerings, and complex enterprise delivery processes.

• In-depth understanding of Microsoft Azure, Fabric, Foundry, Copilot Studio, agents, data platforms, and identity, security, and governance services.

• Experience managing utilization, capacity, staffing, delivery quality, portfolio health, and financial performance.

• Ability to engage enterprise executives and translate business priorities into technology and services roadmaps.

• Strong track record of collaboration across sales, presales, project management, managed services, and technology partners.

• Relevant certifications may include Microsoft Fabric, Azure AI, Azure architecture, cybersecurity architecture, identity, or agentic AI credentials.

• Capability to work independently while collaborating with executives, managers, technical leaders, sales teams, and customer stakeholders.

• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
