This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Evaluate state insurance regulations, product configurations, and deployment necessities to establish efficient strategies across state products.
• Oversee, maintain, and provide support for SQL databases utilized in product configuration and deployment.
• Employ SQL to transform, validate, and prepare data for both implementation and analytical purposes.
• Create and enhance standards, templates, and repeatable processes for new products and updates to existing products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional business and technical teams on product implementation, analytical advancements, and process enhancements.
• Recognize opportunities to optimize deployment workflows, minimize manual tasks, and enhance accuracy and efficiency.
• Independently manage multiple short- and long-term priorities while keeping stakeholders updated on progress, risks, and next steps.
• Assist with production implementation activities, ensuring that configuration solutions meet business objectives and comply with regulatory requirements.
• A bachelor’s degree or higher in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research, or a related quantitative or analytical discipline.
• At least 5 years of analytical experience with a bachelor’s degree, 3 years with a master’s degree, or 1 year with a PhD.
• Proficient in SQL, including data querying, transformation, validation, and management.
• Experience with databases, particularly in cloud-based environments.
• Capability to analyze data using statistical, mathematical, or data mining techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
• Competence in managing various priorities, working autonomously, and meeting deadlines in a dynamic setting.
• Background in collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to implement solutions.
• Skilled in Microsoft Excel, including familiarity with lookup functions, pivot tables, charts, and graphing.
• Previous experience in the insurance sector, with exposure to rating products, pricing, product implementation, or state product rollouts.
• Understanding of insurance rating principles and product configuration methodologies.
• Familiarity with SAS SQL.
• Experience with R.
• Python experience is a valuable addition.
• Knowledge of claims, underwriting, marketing, or agent-related business processes.
