Sprinkler Design Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Create automatic sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial, residential, and mixed-use projects.

• Conduct hydraulic calculations to assess system specifications and efficiency.

• Calculate and size sprinkler piping and related components.

• Generate comprehensive sprinkler layouts and design drawings utilizing AutoCAD.

• Prepare equipment schedules, design documentation, and technical submissions.

• Examine architectural and building plans to devise effective sprinkler solutions.

• Collaborate with project teams and other building services disciplines on designs.

• Assist in material take-offs and equipment specifications.

• Support project execution from design to installation and commissioning.

• Offer technical assistance to project teams and clients as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience in sprinkler system design.

• Comprehensive understanding of hydraulic calculations and pipe sizing fundamentals.

• Experience in designing wet, dry, pre-action, or deluge sprinkler systems.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.

• Capability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.

• Strong technical and analytical abilities.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently within a remote team setting.

• Strong communication and organizational capabilities.
