Manufacturing Design Engineer, CAD & DFM – AI Training

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Develop and adjust parametric 3D models for mechanical components and assemblies.

• Create manufacturing-ready drawings incorporating GD&T and tolerance specifications.

• Design elements suitable for CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, plastics, and injection molding processes.

• Assess CAD models for dimensional precision and manufacturability.

• Conduct tolerance stack-up analysis and basic design validation processes.

• Draft assembly instructions and technical reference materials.

• Detect design challenges and propose actionable enhancements.

• Update models and documentation based on technical evaluations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in designing mechanical components for manufacturing purposes.

• Strong expertise in FreeCAD or another parametric CAD software.

• Proven experience in generating production-ready parts, assemblies, and engineering documentation.

• Familiarity with GD&T, tolerance analysis, and Design for Manufacturing (DfM) principles.

• Experience in designing for at least two of the following areas: CNC machining, sheet metal, plastics, or injection molding.
