Speech Language Pathologist – Remote POS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough evaluations of students' speech, language, and communication skills

• Create personalized therapy plans and objectives tailored to assessment findings and individual student requirements

• Deliver direct therapy services focusing on articulation, phonology, language comprehension, fluency, and pragmatic abilities

• Work together with teachers, parents, and educational team members to facilitate students' communication objectives

• Utilize evidence-based methods and therapeutic activities within therapy sessions

• Track students' progress and modify therapy plans as necessary

• Accurately and promptly document therapy sessions, progress reports, and other pertinent information

• Engage in IEP meetings and contribute insights regarding students' speech and language necessities

• Offer speech and language therapy services to PreK-12 students via E-Therapy's technology-enhanced platform

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution

• Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist

• Current ASHA certification is mandatory

• Enthusiastic about assisting K-12 students in a virtual environment

• Experience in providing speech-language therapy services within a school or pediatric context

• Proficient in assessment tools and therapeutic techniques frequently utilized in pediatric speech-language pathology

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with the skill to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and school personnel

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Experience in teletherapy is advantageous

• Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems and other assistive technologies used in speech-language therapy is preferred

• Capability to sit for extended durations and operate a computer keyboard and mouse

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

• Capacity to occasionally stand, walk, reach, and lift or move items weighing up to 20 pounds
