Speech Language Pathologist, Remote POS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Perform thorough evaluations of students' speech, language, and communication skills.

• Create personalized therapy plans and objectives based on assessment findings and individual student requirements.

• Deliver direct therapy services to K-12 students focusing on articulation, phonology, language comprehension, fluency, and pragmatic abilities.

• Work in partnership with teachers, parents, and educational team members to enhance students' communication objectives.

• Utilize evidence-based methods and therapeutic activities during therapy sessions.

• Track students' progress and make necessary adjustments to therapy plans.

• Accurately and promptly document therapy sessions, progress reports, and other pertinent information.

• Engage in IEP meetings and contribute insights regarding students' speech and language requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.

• Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.

• Current ASHA certification is mandatory.

• Enthusiastic about working with K-12 students in a virtual environment.

• Experience in delivering speech-language therapy services in a school or pediatric context.

• Proficient in assessment tools and therapeutic strategies commonly utilized in pediatric speech-language pathology.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with a strong aptitude for effective collaboration with students, parents, and school personnel.

• Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Experience in teletherapy is preferred.

• Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems and other assistive technologies used in speech-language therapy is preferred.

• Capability to sit for prolonged periods and use a computer keyboard and mouse.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

• Occasionally able to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and lift or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
