This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial objectives, and marketing goals.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Establish strong customer relationships and address customer needs.
• Develop pre-call strategies and conduct post-call assessments.
• Manage objections and initiate calls to action to successfully close sales calls.
• Address customer requirements and cultivate trusted relationships.
• Design and execute call plans to enhance customer engagement and sales opportunities.
• Acquire knowledge of customer needs, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical information, and sales methodologies.
• Communicate market insights with in-field teams, brand management, and sales leadership.
• Distinguish AbbVie's value proposition to healthcare professionals.
• Identify, nurture, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and advocates.
• Travel approximately 5% of the time.
• A bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or equivalent industry experience.
• At least 5 years of relevant industry experience is required in lieu of a bachelor's degree, including 3 or more years within the pharmaceutical/health/science sector is preferred.
• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Extensive knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive landscapes.
• Strong business acumen and proficient in using business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to adapt sales techniques to suit various customer styles and behaviors.
• Ability to formulate sales strategies and innovative solutions.
• Capacity to function effectively in a matrix environment.
• Experience in leadership and peer coaching roles.
• Documented achievements in leadership and support positions of increasing responsibility.
• Proven sales success in relevant therapeutic areas is preferred.
• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
• Proficiency in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to meet HCIR credentialing requirements.
• Good standing and/or eligibility to obtain HCIR credentials.
• A valid driver's license.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening test.
• Must meet safe driving criteria.
