This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.
• Implement AbbVie’s brand strategy and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Foster strong customer relationships and address customer needs.
• Develop pre-call strategies and perform post-call assessments.
• Manage objections and secure calls to action during sales interactions.
• Formulate and execute call plans to enhance customer engagement and sales potential.
• Acquire knowledge of customer requirements, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical issues, and sales strategies.
• Relay market intelligence to in-field teams, brand management, and sales leadership.
• Articulate AbbVie’s value proposition to assigned healthcare providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and sustain disease-state experts and advocates.
• Adhere to AbbVie’s code of conduct, policies, and relevant laws and regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant equivalent industry experience is necessary.
• A minimum of five years of relevant and equivalent industry experience is required if a bachelor’s degree is not held.
• Three or more years of experience in the pharmaceutical, health, or science industries is preferred within the alternative experience pathway.
• A high school diploma/GED is mandatory.
• Extensive knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive landscapes.
• Strong business acumen with proficient use of business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to adjust selling methods according to customer styles and behaviors.
• Skill in developing sales strategies based on customer insights.
• Competent in operating effectively within a matrix environment.
• Experience in leadership and peer coaching.
• Proven track record of success in leadership and support roles with increasing responsibility at district, regional, or organizational levels.
• Established sales performance in relevant therapeutic areas is preferred.
• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry is preferred, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• Proficiency in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible to acquire them.
• Ability to pass background checks, drug screenings, immunization/vaccination verification, fingerprinting, and any necessary state or city licenses as required.
• Valid driver's license is essential.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and fulfill safe-driving criteria.
• Willingness and capability to drive a personal or company vehicle or powered material-handling equipment.
