This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance goals, brand KPIs, financial objectives, and marketing targets.
• Develop pre-call strategies utilizing SMART objectives and perform post-call assessments.
• Address objections, concerns, and misunderstandings to successfully close sales calls.
• Attend to customer needs and cultivate trusted relationships with clients.
• Formulate and implement call plans to enhance customer outreach and sales potential.
• Acquire knowledge about customer requirements, territory markets, competitors, accounts, diseases, products, clinical data, and sales.
• Relay market intelligence to in-field teams, brand management, and sales leadership.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and sustain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Collaborate with district colleagues, matrix teams, sales management, marketing, training, customer excellence, and brand stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a related business field is preferred.
• Alternatively, a minimum of five years of relevant industry experience, with at least three years preferred in the pharmaceutical, health, or science sector.
• High school diploma/GED is required if using industry experience instead of a bachelor’s degree.
• Proven success in sales is essential.
• Strong presentation skills are a must.
• Ability to tailor selling strategies to match customer styles and behaviors.
• Capacity to devise innovative solutions and optimize business opportunities.
• Proficiency in influencing others and serving as a credible peer resource.
• Skills in collaborative partnerships within district and matrix teams.
• Documented leadership and support experiences at district, regional, or organizational levels.
• Ability to comprehend and utilize findings to create effective sales strategies.
• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
• Proficient in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and be eligible to obtain necessary credentials.
• Must exhibit scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge.
• Strong business acumen and adeptness with business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to function effectively in a matrix environment.
• Capability to operate a personal or company vehicle.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening and adhere to safe driving standards.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
