This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Implement brand strategy and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Develop pre-call plans utilizing SMART objectives and conduct post-call evaluations.
• Address objections, concerns, and misconceptions to successfully close sales calls.
• Attend to customer needs and foster trusted relationships with clients.
• Create and execute call plans to enhance customer coverage, frequency, access, and sales prospects.
• Gain insights into customer needs, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical data, and sales performance.
• Relay market intelligence to in-field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Clearly differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Collaborate with district colleagues, matrix teams, sales management, marketing, training, customer excellence, and brand-plan stakeholders.
• Engage with specialty physicians, pharmacists, nurses, and various external stakeholders.
• A bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or equivalent industry experience is required.
• A minimum of five years of experience, including at least three years in the pharmaceutical, health, or science industry, can substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• A demonstrated track record of sales success is essential.
• Strong presentation skills are necessary.
• Capability to adapt sales approaches to align with customer styles and behaviors.
• Ability to devise innovative solutions and maximize business opportunities.
• Documented success in leadership and support at district, regional, or organizational levels.
• Pharmaceutical commercial experience such as physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing is preferred.
• Proficiency in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and be eligible to obtain necessary credentials.
• Demonstrated understanding of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge.
• Strong business acumen with proficient use of business tools.
• Strategic and critical thinking skills are essential.
• Ability to function effectively in a matrix environment.
• Capability to operate personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving standards.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.
