This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Identify and engage with cannabis-focused retail agencies and sub-agents across the nation.
• Build robust distribution partnerships with cannabis agencies recognized by existing and prospective carrier partners.
• Assist sub-agents through the cannabis underwriting process, ensuring submissions are complete, accurate, and timely.
• Enhance quote-to-submit ratios and binding rates by providing high-quality applications to both current and future carrier partners.
• Proactively manage significant account opportunities and monitor submissions throughout their lifecycle.
• Foster positive, growth-driven relationships with carrier partners.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of market trends and competitor positioning.
• Work closely with internal sales teams to gain a comprehensive understanding of underwriting preferences and effectively communicate any changes.
• Meet or exceed cannabis premium growth objectives.
• Generate reports on pipeline activity, submission quality, and carrier performance.
• Collaborate with internal teams to enhance processes and eliminate submission and servicing obstacles.
• Represent Method as a cannabis industry expert by attending trade shows, conferences, and agency visits as necessary.
• Execute other assigned responsibilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is preferred.
• Over 5 years of experience in cannabis industry insurance, program management, or wholesale distribution.
• Experience in workers’ compensation or insurance is mandatory.
• Established connections within the cannabis insurance sector (including retail agencies, carriers, and sub-agents).
• A minimum of 1 year of business experience in insurance sales or services.
• Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding premium production targets.
• Strong grasp of cannabis underwriting requirements and program specifics.
• Excellent sales presentation and persuasion abilities.
• Comfortable with negotiating and adopting a sales-oriented approach.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; capable of effectively presenting to agents and carriers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, G Suite, or similar software.
• Familiarity with a task-based workflow system for managing prospective and current customers and accounts.
• Possess a strong sense of urgency and self-assurance.
• Strong work ethic and a positive demeanor.

• Willing to travel up to 50% of the time (including travel to associations and trade shows, agency visits with colleagues and/or individually, and business meetings potentially with agents and/or insureds).
