Specialized Education Instructor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.

📋 Description

• Provide compliant virtual specially designed instruction and compensatory education services

• Oversee a caseload of 11 elementary students in Grades 3–4 with mild to moderate disabilities

• Develop, manage, and track student IEP progress

• Fulfill IEP case management duties

• Collaborate with students’ IEP teams to arrange service schedules

• Customize instructional strategies to meet individual student needs

• Deliver instruction in small groups with the support of paraprofessionals

• Conduct instruction during designated blocks from Tuesday to Friday

• Engage in dedicated planning days on Mondays

⛳️ Requirements

• Valid Missouri Special Education Mild/Moderate Cross-Categorical K-12 license/certification

• Experience in a school setting providing specially designed instruction

• Proven ability to work effectively with diverse student populations

• Outstanding organizational and collaborative communication skills for interacting with IEP teams, teachers, parents, and students

• Proficient in delivering virtual services using meeting platforms

• Strong knowledge of instructional technology

• Access to a dedicated, private workspace

• Reliable, high-speed internet connection

• Dependable computer and webcam

• Availability for 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

• Capability to adhere to a district schedule with a four-day school week from Tuesday to Friday

• Availability on Mondays for dedicated planning
