Spec Book & Architectural Construction Documentation Drafter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Create precise and coordinated construction documents using Revit, based on the files and inputs received.

• Assess approved design concepts with a thorough understanding of their implementation in the field.

• Convert approved design ideas into clear, executable, and fully coordinated construction documentation.

• Model and document designs informed by inputs from architectural, consulting, and client sources.

• Identify and accurately document finishes, fixtures, and materials.

• Recognize any missing details, inconsistencies, or coordination issues, and proactively address or flag them.

• Clearly communicate changes and revisions to the internal team.

• Undertake additional tasks related to the position.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in English (both written and spoken).

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

• Advanced expertise in Revit.

• Proven experience in 3D modeling and construction documentation.

• Demonstrated background in construction documentation.

• Capability to produce accurate and well-coordinated architectural documentation.

• Familiarity with AutoCAD.

• Experience with Asana or other project management tools.

• Strong general computer skills and proficiency in digital workflows, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets).

• Solid understanding of NYC building codes and regulations, or those applicable in the USA.

• Prior experience with NYC multi-family residential code logic is highly preferred, but not mandatory.

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Strong construction and architectural reasoning.

• Ability to maintain a fast and efficient workflow.

• Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Availability to work during Eastern Standard Time (EST) business hours.

• Willingness to complete a test project assigned after the initial interview.
