Principal Product Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Establishes and articulates the architectural vision and strategy for our healthcare SaaS offerings.

• Offers direction to product engineering regarding design, operational enhancements, deployment pipeline best practices, and automation opportunities.

• Designs and implements cloud-native SaaS products that are capable of scaling effectively.

• Creates and oversees the architecture of complex cloud and hybrid solutions to ensure elasticity, availability, and resiliency.

• Maintains a comprehensive product technology scorecard, which includes a technical roadmap, technical debt inventory, and adherence to product security, architecture, and operational reference models.

• Provides technical mentorship and guidance to engineering teams, promoting best practices in software design and development.

• Advocates for the adoption of elastic, serverless cloud-native design concepts to build highly scalable and resilient SaaS products.

• Guarantees that all solutions comply with industry standards and regulations, with a strong emphasis on data security and privacy.

• Works collaboratively with stakeholders, clients, product management, engineering, technical platform architects, security, and operations teams to comprehend needs and translate them into actionable product architecture designs that align with business objectives.

• Aids new products and product releases through serverless cloud-native design and microservice architecture models.

• Consults with Product Management to ensure that the product roadmap reflects the strategic direction of technology.

⛳️ Requirements

• 10 years of experience in application or solution architecture.

• 8 years of experience in cloud architecture, cloud engineering, and cloud-native application design and deployment.

• A proven track record over 5 years of successfully designing, deploying, and managing large-scale, complex serverless SaaS solutions on public cloud platforms, ideally AWS.

• 5 years of experience with contemporary development practices such as CI/CD, infrastructure as code (IaC), and DevOps methodologies.

• Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Capacity to build internal relationships and engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong understanding of the appropriate application of AWS services and familiarity with AWS cost management and optimization strategies.

• Ability to implement cloud architecture principles, including scalability, high availability, data retention, disaster recovery, and security best practices.

• Intermediate knowledge of compliance frameworks and regulations (e.g., HITRUST, HIPAA, SOC 2).

• Familiarity with Identity and Access management models in both on-premises and public cloud environments.

• Advanced expertise in cloud-native serverless application design and development, microservices architecture, and event-driven design patterns.

• Strong proficiency with monitoring and observability tools, including AWS CloudWatch.

• Demonstrated practice of emotional intelligence for effective work in a deadline-driven, agile setting.

• Expertise in cloud service design patterns and architectures, including multi-region and multi-tenant SaaS models.
