This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Provide technical expertise to support strategic pre-sales opportunities for prospects.
• Assist in onboarding and launching new customers who are not currently utilizing RA services, ensuring successful adoption of dbt Cloud.
• Implement proactive adoption strategies, including migrations, new feature rollouts (e.g., Semantic Layer, Mesh), and major version upgrades.
• Lead initiatives aimed at mitigating churn or contraction while positioning accounts for future growth.
• Offer advice on architecture, design, implementation, troubleshooting, and best practices within dbt Cloud environments.
• Develop solution MVPs and guide long-term technical strategies that align with customer requirements.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently with defined scopes, timelines, and outcome tracking.
• Collaborate closely with Customer Solutions Architects (CSAs), Sales, Solutions Architects, Training, and Support teams.
• Provide insights to Product and Engineering teams to enhance customer experience and address technical priorities.
• Advocate for customer success through transparent communication and cross-functional teamwork.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of this evolving function within the broader RA organization.
• Monitor and manage capacity and engagement effectiveness in a manner similar to other RA-led initiatives.
• Over 5 years of experience in technical customer-facing roles, such as post-sales consulting, technical architecture, or solution delivery.
• Proficiency in at least one modern cloud data platform (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or Redshift).
• Practical experience in deploying or configuring dbt Cloud, with a minimum of 1 year working with dbt.
• Strong SQL skills; a working knowledge of Python in analytics contexts is preferred.
• Experience leading technical project delivery, managing scope, timelines, and stakeholder expectations across multiple simultaneous projects.
• Excellent communication skills, clear and concise, for both technical and executive audiences.
• A collaborative mindset, thriving in a remote, transparent, and highly cross-functional environment.
• Willingness to travel 2 to 4 times per year for company-wide events.
