Spanish Online Tutor – Children

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Assist children in enhancing their Spanish fluency through engaging and enjoyable discussions on our exclusive video-conference platform utilizing PandaTree's captivating content modules.

• Kindly support students with new vocabulary or corrections as necessary and incorporate new terms into the student’s individualized word list. After each session, tutors provide a summary note.

• Tutoring sessions are 25 or 50 minutes long, with an additional five to 15 minutes of preparation required for each lesson. Sessions are recorded for the student's future reference and to ensure quality assurance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Fluent Spanish speaker with native articulation.

• Proficient in both spoken and written English.

• Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, or PhD with a concentration in education or language.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching or working with children, preferably in a classroom environment. Previous tutoring experience (either online or in-person) is also advantageous.

• Must be patient, kind, energetic, and FUN. Tutors should possess an engaging and motivating demeanor during video-conference sessions.

• Residing in the U.S. and legally authorized to work in the U.S. (New hires will be required to complete an I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification.)

• Punctuality for tutoring sessions is essential.

• Willingness and ability to commit to working with PandaTree for 9+ months.

• Availability for a minimum of 15 hours per week, including during the academic year.

• Laptop or desktop computer, no older than 2 years, Mac or PC.

• Camera and microphone (built-in or external).

• Adequate lighting for a well-lit face.

• A quiet, private, interruption-free space with a plain background for conducting online tutoring sessions.
