
Spacecraft Thermal Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Conduct thermal and mechanical design and analysis for spacecraft.
• Design and implement thermal control systems tailored for diverse spacecraft configurations.
• Assist in the development of prototype and flight hardware.
• Evaluate technical documentation and offer expert recommendations.
• Guide junior engineers and foster collaboration across various engineering disciplines.
• Participate in projects related to CubeSats, GEO satellites, and scientific spacecraft missions.
• Assess spacecraft-level thermal architectures.
• Examine heat rejection strategies.
• Aid in the design of radiators and thermal control systems.
• Investigate component temperature profiles throughout mission timelines.
• Analyze designs in the context of demanding orbital and operational environments.
• Work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams throughout trade studies, detailed design, prototyping, testing, qualification, and production phases.
• Engage with customers involved in developing next-generation spacecraft.
• Assist in converting analytical models into functional spaceflight hardware.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Over 10 years of engineering experience.
• Profound understanding of heat transfer principles.
• Proven experience in thermal design and troubleshooting.
• Proficient with CAD, FEA, and CFD tools.
• Experience with Thermal Desktop is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with spacecraft missions and subsystems is preferred.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and leadership abilities.
• U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Protected Individual as outlined by 8 U.S.C. § 1324b(a)(3) preferred due to ITAR regulations.
