This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Assist in sourcing initiatives by identifying and evaluating potential suppliers; manage the onboarding process in accordance with established strategic guidelines.
• Collaborate across departments during the new product development process to collect requirements and issue RFQs; deliver data-driven supplier recommendations for management consideration.
• Aid in negotiations for supply agreements to secure favorable terms while minimizing risk; track supplier compliance with contracts; enter and oversee contracts in the Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system.
• Establish a framework for supplier engagement and pricing, ensuring the Purchasing team possesses a clear, well-documented structure to carry out tactical purchase orders.
• Build and nurture partnerships with strategic national brand, private-label, and contract manufacturing suppliers.
• Supervise a comprehensive supplier management program to evaluate supply performance.
• Relay quality or performance issues to suppliers; strive to understand and report the implications of these issues on organizational costs and timelines.
• Leverage data and analytics to pinpoint cost reduction opportunities across the product portfolio; collaborate with Supply Chain leadership to formulate execution plans.
• Suggest strategies for sourcing and managing our raw material and component requirements to enhance cost-effectiveness and ensure supply continuity.
• Keep track of market trends and commodity pricing to supply data to Supply Chain leadership for strategic adjustments.
• Report on Sourcing KPIs; work collaboratively to identify opportunities for performance enhancement.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in a sourcing position supporting both internally manufactured and externally procured finished goods; experience in a high-SKU distribution environment is preferred.
• Experience in international sourcing is preferred.
• Background in medical products distribution is an advantage.
• Familiarity with NetSuite is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite is required.
