This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the enterprise sourcing strategy, supplier management, and commercial execution for capital projects across all divisions.
• Act as the primary procurement liaison for Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Project Management teams.
• Create and implement enterprise-wide CAPEX sourcing strategies that align with annual capital investment plans.
• Develop category management strategies for areas such as engineering services, construction, manufacturing equipment, automation, and facility infrastructure.
• Facilitate competitive sourcing events aimed at maximizing value, minimizing risk, and enhancing project results.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Operations during the project development phase to formulate procurement plans, sourcing schedules, and commercial strategies.
• Direct sourcing initiatives for large-scale capital projects from inception through to project completion.
• Assist in business cases by providing market intelligence, budgeting support, should-cost analysis, and supplier benchmarking.
• Manage supplier selection, negotiation tactics, contract execution, and governance of change orders.
• Cultivate strategic relationships with EPC, EPCM, OEM, and construction suppliers.
• Negotiate commercial conditions, payment terms, service agreements, warranties, performance guarantees, and risk management provisions.
• Achieve cost savings, cost avoidance, and improvements in cash flow across the project portfolio.
• Lead and mentor a team of capital procurement professionals.
• Enhance enterprise procurement capabilities, templates, negotiation standards, and sourcing best practices.
• Represent procurement on capital steering committees and project governance teams.
• A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Over 10 years of progressively responsible experience in procurement, sourcing, engineering, construction, or capital projects.
• A minimum of 5 years in a leadership role overseeing personnel.
• Experience in sourcing and negotiating engineering services, EPC/EPCM contracts, construction services, processing equipment, packaging equipment, utilities, and infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated success in leading complex negotiations and managing multimillion-dollar projects.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with a focus on building effective horizontal relationships both internally and externally.
• Ability to engage with stakeholders and senior management to articulate sourcing strategies and influence decision-making, especially in a multi-plant operations environment.
• Willingness to travel approximately 30% as needed for business purposes.
