Sourcing Management Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• The chosen candidate will be instrumental in shaping the strategy to fulfill our SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost) framework: Implement sourcing strategies to assess, execute, and monitor Purchase Orders (POs) for planned or urgent outages, inventory, and critical requests.

• Oversee orders with designated suppliers in accordance with GE policies while nurturing their business relationships.

• Achieve optimal contractual terms, address commercial issues, and manage schedule adjustments, ensuring satisfaction for internal customers.

• Assist in the onboarding of commercial suppliers and collaborate with Supplier Quality for product qualification.

• Balance tactical execution with strategic initiatives essential for driving cost reductions.

• Exercise judgment to make decisions or address moderately complex tasks (e.g., sourcing alternative materials, meeting project timelines, cost-saving measures, etc.).

• Support supplier performance evaluations and provide guidance to functional managers on projects, processes, and procedures.

• Pursue continuous improvement and actively participate in projects as a team member, leader, or adopter of best practices.

• Enhance understanding of manufacturing processes and increase product knowledge.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or Project Management from an accredited college or university, or a minimum of 3 years of experience in managing supply chain operations.

• Proficient oral and written communication skills in English.

• Self-driven, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.

• Applies knowledge of a specific discipline and analytical thinking to execute tasks.

• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.

• Experience with SAP ERP is preferred.
