Sourcing Business Development Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and nurture a team of 8-10 exceptional sourcing professionals through visible leadership and active career coaching.

• Recruit, cultivate, rotate, and retain top talent in Sourcing & Procurement by assessing individual strengths and formulating actionable career development plans.

• Promote an inclusive and collaborative team culture that achieves sustainable operational excellence across pursuit initiatives.

• Design and implement complex short-term and long-term sourcing strategies for pursuit activities, effectively managing supplier networks to ensure best-in-class performance.

• Provide strategic direction for all Sourcing & Procurement elements related to pursuits, including best practices and innovations that set JLL apart in the marketplace.

• Collaborate closely with Sales, Pricing, and Account leadership teams to create innovative third-party solutions and competitive pricing strategies.

• Build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders, including Sales leadership, Sourcing & Procurement teams, Corporate Legal & Risk Management, and Finance Directors.


⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to support career advancement through mentoring and visible leadership.

• 5-8 years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or business development, showcasing success in pursuit/sales support.

• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.

• Professional sourcing/procurement certifications such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) are desirable.

• An advanced degree (MBA, MS) in a relevant discipline is advantageous.

• Experience in the commercial real estate, facilities management, or integrated facility services sectors.

• Proven success in creating high-performing, integrated teams dedicated to operational and commercial excellence.

• Experience in managing and coaching teams regarding performance, progress, and developmental objectives.

• A history of actively engaging in talent management through networking and mentoring.

• Capability to foster an inclusive and collaborative team environment.

• Experience in leading client meetings and strategy discussions at senior levels.
