This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Prospecting, qualifying, and generating new sales opportunities to support the Federal, State, and Local Sales teams.
• Collaborating with Sales Executives to arrange discovery meetings and opportunities with key decision-makers in the government.
• Gaining exposure to a diverse range of roles and experiences to cultivate the skills and business acumen necessary to become a leading sales professional in the GovTech sector and to build a successful career.
• Generate new business through phone and email to educate and introduce prospects to the Granicus platform.
• Conduct initial qualification and discover the prospect's current environment, pain points, and potential projects.
• Identify key buying influencers within the target market, as well as their established budget and timeline.
• Follow up with inbound marketing leads and outbound prospects through a strategic outreach plan to generate additional interest in Granicus and qualify for potential opportunities.
• Build and nurture prospect relationships by initiating communications and executing follow-up communications to advance opportunities through the sales funnel.
• Collaborate with account executives to develop strategic territory plans and grow the sales pipeline to consistently meet quarterly revenue goals.
• Utilize Salesforce CRM to accurately track all sales activities and manage contact/lead data.
• Analyze sales pipeline reports and dashboards.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
• Work and/or internship experience in sales or marketing, or a degree in business, communications, or a related field.
• 1+ year of relevant work experience.
• Ability to meet and/or exceed established sales and activity metrics.
• Strong client relationship skills.
• Effective problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office products.
• Experience with Salesforce or another CRM software preferred.
